  • Dh's semen analysis results are really bad - low count, immotile. The dr suggested that he takes Clomid (yes, men take Clomid too). Anyone btdt? Does it mean we'll have to do an IVF? I have an aoopintment with RE in 2 weeks,

    • The RE might suggest IUIs first, where they put the semen directly into your uterus. It might depend on whether you have any other issues. I don't know any DHs that had luck taking Clomid.

    • same issue. we had a chromosome analysis done. the results showed abnormality which explained the semen analysis. we were told IVF/ICSI was the solution. That way the sperm can be washed for normal looking ones, then through ICSI be injected into the eggs, then the embryos are sent for PGD analysis to weed out the chromosomally abnormal ones.

      • Have you done the IVF/ICSI yet? Any luck?

        • I just saw this today and not sure if you're here. Yes, we did do one cycle but unfortunately not successful. Even though we got a positive PG test back, things did not progress normally. We're doing a second cycle soon.
