Venting: So its Friday night, I am home with the three kids and DH is out with the boys..again. To aggravate the situation, we just moved out to the burbs and I know no one, still have crazy unpacking to do and I am tired. Physically and emotionally. I think I am done. How do you start a conversation with DH about where our relationship is going? I feel like we never see eachother- he is not home much and when he is, he is in his 'daddy zone'- free of kids and wife. He even missed our oldest's birthday because he was driving up from a night out with the boys. I feel like I am married to Vince Vaughn's character in Break-Up.

thanks for the thought!! It's just hard to believe how dramatically my life has changed in a year...i can hear the violins now
[ Reply | Options ]I understand. My guess is you probably lived in Manhattan where everything was close to you and now you have to drive everywhere. It's a big change; and I am not saying this to be a wiseass
[ Reply | Options ]i was on the UWS. the biggest problem is finding a babysitter. Plus i have no family in NY, so I won't be going anywhere until I can get handle on that.
[ Reply | Options ]have you considered an au pair? We are moving out of the city and getting one this summer. My friend who moved from the city to the burbs loved her au pair and kind of enjoyed having someone to talk to (DH also worked a lot) when she didn't know anyone....and then you have a sitter too!
